AMPLIFON AUDIO company is a producer of Hi-End class electro-tube amplifiers, constructed to supply wants of the most exacting users. We use our own constructional solutions and the most modern components in order to get the best from the tube-technology. These amazing devices are within your reach!
Technology
AMPLIFON AUDIO products are produced on the bases of the best solutions, not only on those, which are well-known to all but also on those, which are exclusively achievements of our company. Below, we'll try to describe the most important issues and production processes connected with our amplifiers.
COVER:
The cover is one of the basic elements of the amplifier. Not only the final look of the device depends on the quality of the cover. It has also a great influence on the sound properties and the technical parametres. We use a double-layer technology in the production of covers for our amplifiers. We are binding with the silicone rubber the carrying construction and the finishing elements, made of the polished stainless steel. Such a construction guarantee a good durability and an excellent damping of the "microphone effect".
All outside elements of the cover are made of the polished stainless steel, which guarantee the best durability and a very aestetic look.
Most of the elements of the cover is made with laser cutting.
FEEDING TRANSFORMERS:
Every product of our firm is equipped with the best-quality trioidal feeding transformers, which are characterized by low disturbances and great performance. Apart from that, they are also relatively small.
OUTPUT TRANSFORMERS:
Output transformers are the most critical element of the signal path of the electron-tube amplifier. All technical parametres and sound properties depend on the quality of the output transfprmers.
AMPLIFON AUDIO is one of a few companies where the trioidal transformers are used. We have decided to use them after many tests, analysis and comparisons. Although they are expensive, they are muchbetter than the standard transformers, especially in one aspect; they make it possible to get much larger transfer band without the negative feedback. What's more, they are the only ones, which can transfer the lowest frequences (below 20Hz) with all might of the amplifier.
POWER SUPPLIER:
One of the basic foundations in the AMPLIFON AUDIO products is a complete separation of power suppliers for the left and the right channel, which is aimed to reduce any crosstalks between the channels. Crosstalks between them are of the great importance in the correct transfer of the music picture, i.e. in its spatial interpretation. Although amplifiers produced in our firm have separate rectifiers and filters for both channels, they have also separated inputs for each system of a channel.
ELECRON-TUBES:
Not only the sound of the amplifier depends on the quality of the tubes, but it has also a great influence on its durability and reliability. All tubes used in our amplifiers are of the military production and they were intended for use in army. Such lamps are unfailing and reliable. Most of them were made in USSR in 1970-80. PHILIPS JAN tubes are also in use. Very interesting are 6C33C power-tubes, which have very high current effeciency and they are much better in this aspect, than other similar tubes. Almost the same are 6H13C tubes, but they have much lower power in comparison with 6C33C. 6H1P-EB operating tubes used in our amplifiers have a durability of about 10000 hours.
CURRENTS STABILIZATION SYSTEMS:
The main purpose of the systems of currents stabilisations used in our devices is to create the best conditions for the electron-tubes to work in. Still monitoring a quiescent currents of the power-tubes, systems cause its constant regulation bringing its value to the nominal stage. By exclusion to objectionable current surges while switching on the amplifier and making it impossible for excessive couurent to flow. They survey in an active way objectionable effects of going bad of the tubes, by extortion the flow of the nominal current through them. Currents stabilization systems make an absolutely non-service working of the amplifier possible (i.e. no regulations are needed while using the amplifier, even while standard tubes exchanging)
SAFETY SYSTEMS:
The aim of these systems is to protect the amplifier from:
- too huge fall of the load impendancy
- damage of the amplifier as a result of the operating signal overload
- too high input voltage
- damage of the electronic systems as a result of the power-tubes' defect
USER SAFETY:
All our products are designed and produced according to EU norms and regulations. They fulfill all LVD and EMC directives concerning the safety of use and electro-magnetic compatibility. All the technical parametres referring to those directives have been approved by independent accredited laboratories.
