Integrated tube amplifier
"Amplifon WL25"
WL25 amplifier is a device created in 2003 and from the very beginning it was supposed to be the cheapest product in the company’s offer. By its shape and constructional solutions it resembles very much the first amplifier of AMPLIFON AUDIO. However, WL25 has great technical parametres and sound characteristics.
One of our main aims while constructing the device was to adjust the pentodial output system to co-operating with some electron-tubes of several similar types. In WL25 following tubes can be installed: 6L6, 6L6GC, 5881 or a very popular EL34. While using the latter, the output power of the amplifiers raises to 35W (RMS). 6P3C-E is a standard type of tubes used in the device and with them the amplifiers has 28W of output power (RMS). Such a universality was our prime target. Each user can modify sound characteristics without interfering into the amplifier’s construction. The final level operates in the ultralinear push-pull system in AB class. Similar to other products of our company, WL25 does not require any regulations not only during the exploitation but also during the tube's exchange.
The steering level is based on double 6H2P-EB triode which operates as a pre-amplifier. The steering level and the stage diverter have been built on double 6H6P triode. This type of tube makes it possible to achieve low output impendance and minimal distortions.
The amplifier works with a low 10dB feedback which eliminates all distortions made by the pentodial output system.
